Why we exist

Nearly two decades of answering customer questions the hard way.

Before Pivot Point AI, founder Tala Chisholm co-owned and ran Lightsounds, one of Australia’s leading professional lighting and audio retailers, growing it to 67 staff across 18 locations over nearly 20 years, and earning a Telstra Business Woman of the Year nomination along the way.

Every one of those days, customers had questions. About compatibility, stock, delivery, specs, returns. Answering them fast was the difference between a sale and a silent exit, and staffing for that at scale was brutally hard.

So when AI made it possible for any business to answer every customer instantly, Tala saw it for what it was: the tool she’d needed for 20 years. Pivot Point AI began building AI chatbots in 2023, and the mission hasn’t changed since, give everyday Australian businesses the customer experience that once only the giants could afford.

Most chatbots disappoint because they’re set up once and abandoned. We built Pivot Point AI as a managed service because a chatbot is like a staff member, it needs training, feedback and someone who cares whether it’s doing a good job. That someone is us.
